A chap I know from the Ixion bikers' mailing list wrote this a couple of years ago. It's not entirely apt but I thought it was simple and touching.

Daft as a brush puss
Give me my food puss
Smelly wind puss
Big wide eyes puss
Sleep on your feet puss
Sit by the bed for a purr puss
Tail held high puss
Daft noise puss
Chase the silver paper puss
Play like a kitten puss
Roll on the path in the sun puss
Sleep on the chair puss
Died in the night puss
