In other news:
• Picocon was good fun as ever;
• Work is as busy as it's been in a long time, which is good, but leaves me little time for writing, here or anywhere else, though I did do a bit of a rework on Wikipedia's entry for Lake Baikal yesterday, and a more minor one on the Baikal Seal;
• I've learned to snowboard while visiting
fintlewoodlewix, after a very rudimentary fashion, and hope to return to the slopes and do some more soon;
• I have finally given away most of the old Macs in my garage (my thanks to the inestimable
dougs) and hope to get shot of some PCs soon. If you know anyone who might want a free machine, of the sluggish Pentium-1 variety, do please let me know. Available running Win95 (for a small consideration if you want it with apps, antivirus, firewall and so on) or Linux.
