Televisual query

I've just recently acquired a surplus-to-requirements NTL cable TV box. It's not only a cable TV receiver, it's also a cable modem for attaching computers to the line. No idea what else it does.

Are these things worth anything? Should I try to eBay it or just give it away or chuck it out?

Thoughts welcome. Possibly bids or offers of a good home also.
