Bike maintenance

One of my most hated jobs in the world, as is anything that will get my hands all greasy.

But, between 5:30 and 8:00pm, I've fixed 2 out of 3.

( And finally, the recumbent. )

Anyone who knows anything about bikes - with or without engines - please read this and tell me if I have done anything blatantly stupid!

So, I have no transport that will get me to Wales for the weekend. However, the weather looks like crap, and I've just discovered that geoffcampbell's big CiX bikers' party will have Stuff™ at it. So I'm a lot less keen to go. Maybe I should try and find a B&B and go to Infest instead? Thoughts, anyone?

Oh, and in other news. Weighed myself today, which I very seldom do. I'm not eating so much - for example, I've only had 2 bowls of branflakes today. Yesterday it was a portion of beans & potato waffles. And I'm cutting down on the drink. The summer shorts fit more comfortably than they have done since the '90s.

I'm down to about 93kg, from a high of 105 early last year and 100 for most of the last 12mth. That's about a stone and a half down from the high or 11lb this year. That's fairly cheering, I suppose. I'd still like to get rid of another 5-10kg though.
