The dinner went very well! My thanks to all who attended!

Some foolish souls turned up early - you know who you are, [livejournal.com profile] collyer and [livejournal.com profile] drplokta - to find the restaurant denying any knowledge of me or a party. But when I arrived in person, on the dot of 7:30 for once, all was resolved.

We had 21 in the end! John Hall had to leave early, [livejournal.com profile] mr_tom and [livejournal.com profile] sneerpout could not make it and [livejournal.com profile] flickgc was so painfully stylishly late she didn't bother eating, but the rest of us did. There was a [livejournal.com profile] drpete, [livejournal.com profile] mmcpoland, [livejournal.com profile] d_floorlandmine, [livejournal.com profile] camies, [livejournal.com profile] the_magician and [livejournal.com profile] pickledginger - and quite a few who spurn LJ as an abomination, as, apparently, are all blogs. Their loss, eh?

Then most of us adjourned to a nearby hostelry whose name I cannot disclose, except for Pete & Moz, who went to the wrong pub. Francis WINOLJ and I drank their drinks for them.

Howard, Mike, Francis, Camilla TCH (who are all NOLJ) and I then went clubbing in the Metro Bar to an 80s retro night whose name I forget, which was, bizarrely, full of students. The beer was rubbish, though, and we didn't stop long. Finding flyers for discount entrance was easy - a trail of discarded ones led along Oxford Street...
