I'm back. I'm still alive. Did some 1,700 miles or so over the last 3 weeks. It was good. Glasgow was good, though to be honest, I had more fun out riding around Loch Lomond and Loch Long than at Confounding Tales. Thanks to
bloodnok for putting me up!
The TT was fun; saw some racing, spent a fair bit of time round at
alexpiom's place chewing the fat, went all over, saw the Red Arrows...
Came back to a very hungry cat and one dead mouse. :¬( The adult, surprisingly; all 4 babies made it fine. However, one escaped when I was feeding them. A humane mousetrap has been obtained and set in an effort to recapture the wee bugger.
The last few days of the TT and my journey back were blighted by some of the worst hayfever I've had in many years. I had a great ride through the Peak District, but after 100 miles, my eyes were so bad I couldn't see properly. Thankfully the kind and generous
the_major let me stay the night in her spare room in MarHar, so I could break my journey. Lifesaver. Thanks again, Clara!
Said spare room is still available for let, I believe, if anyone knows anyone who needs a place in those parts... Come to that, so is mine: see here.
