I thought I'd share with you some of the charming feedback I've got for the latest Inq article. Not that I'm hurt - mostly I just find them amusing - but just for the interest.

-----

"This is the dumbest thiong i have ever read.

you must be a linux/mac fanboy...

learn to do some real writing to dork."

-----

"not getting any glory lately? you needed to type up a bunch of stupid shit in some attempt to be funny?

youve wasted the time, data and money of thousands of people out there.

go kill yourself, put us out of the misery of having to think your living and may write something again in the future."

-----

"What exactly was the point of your article on the inside history of windows. Total and utter shit. Just wasted 2 minutes of my life. Would like them back if you don't mind."

"horrible story. I expected to find some sort of serious story, or at least a commentary, but instead found your horrible story that lacks sense and is mostly fiction.

truly a waste of space on the inquirer, and a waste of air (that you breath) for humankind"

-----

"Dat's funnie - reely reely funnie.

Microsoft is one of the world's most valuable companies, Bill Gates is duh richest guy in duh wurlde - but you genius hack make a reel funnie yoke.

Hahahahahhaha.

Yu prubabkly feel leedle bit smart fur a change - yah?

Suing and Puking-From-My-Gut And Gestapo Raids At Dawn,"

-----

What fun, eh, readers? We must particularly admire the literary skills of my correspondents, I feel.

I got about 2-3 times as many complimentary ones, saying "great piece" or something like that. Which was nice.

I have to say, though, that I really do feel for Simo when he left the Hitch-hiker's world after the response to his (entirely justified and reasonable) panning of the movie. Imagine this, ten thousand times over. [Shudder]
