In other news: UnCon was distinctly disappointing this year. Ken Campbell was as ever highly entertaining, if more restrained than usual, but there was only one programme of speakers, instead of two, a very meagre selection of stalls and I saw no entertaining loonies at all. Most disappointing. Got nattering with the chaps from the Centre for Fortean Zoology and may get involved in that, though, both at the con and in the pub afterwards - looks fascinating, highly entertaining and with a chance of contributing to Real Science. Splendid. Gatecrashed a party one night but really wish I hadn't.

bonsaii, AKA little sister of slovobooks and my Most Favoured Ex, the fair Caitriona. I'm going to have to finish those writeups of the various Irish trips now, aren't I?
Tales of Cisco-induced semi-psychotic fits are common. Often, people on a Cisco binge end up curled into a fetal ball, shuddering and muttering paranoid rants.I know exactly what they mean. I've felt like that myself after a few days of fighting a PIX.</in-joke>
