An evening of revelations
Jul. 21st, 2004 05:18 amJust had a LOOONG chat with Caitriona on Y! She's OK, happier than I expected and I'm still invited to go stay there whenever I wish. That's good.
Also spent some time reading up on new web technologies thanks to some links in the first NTK in a while. This led me to Furthermore, a blog by an old mate of mine who I'd recently lost touch with, who I've added as a feed -
matt_freestone. He writes of Notcon, as attended by
green_amber and almost by
drflickta. This led me to read people rhapsodising about RSS feeds and how cool the new Safari in Mac OS X 10.4 will be for reading RSS, and I thought "I bet there's a Firefox extension for that."
And there is. And now I have all my feeds accessible through my sidebar. It's deeply nifty and could save me quite a bit of time each day. Of course, it'd be even better if it could download 'em offline into Thunderbird, but that's a much harder task.
I've also got an LJ posting tool in there and an LJ FL monitor in my Firefox status bar. This is one cool browser, it really is.
Question: can you get your own friendslists as feeds? Including filter lists?
