On going bald
Nov. 21st, 2003 03:37 pmA few people are still asking me if it really happened. Well, yes, it did, and here's the proof.

On Friday night, I still looked quite normal. Last chance to headbang with hair, so I made the most of it.

But come Saturday at noon, I was summoned from my slumbers by Elvis, to be shorn. Doug's started to go first... (That's Elvis doing it.)

...Although he didn't look too bothered.

Then Doug's brother Peter started doing mine, first cropping it short with scissors in a disturbingly professional manner.

This left me looking quite neat, I'm told. (Here, Dom is shaving Max's final few tufts off.)

Then the clippers came out and even the short stuff came off.

But not, naturally, all in one go. Oh, no.

Finally, the last Tintin tuft's time comes...

... And we are left bald and proud.

Happily, I found a near-invisible replacement. James Brophy decorated the remainder with barbed wire.

I've always thought a Mohican is an intimidating style - don't you?

Suitable equipped with an air guitar...

... I was able to try some rock histrionics again, but somehow, it just wasn't quite the same.
