Too hot to do much all afternoon - so I didn't. Until about 4:30 when it became too hot to sit inside.
So, out and onto the Tiny Bike to zoom around. Got a replacement rear light bulb for it (joy, another learning experience to be had, fitting that!). Dropped off a 2nd cycle computer at the folding bike shop to be fitted to my Birdy, since Bikefix failed last time and lost the instructions to my other one, rendering it useless.
I'm happy on a solo. That's rare these days. I need another "proper" bike, I think.
Then zipped down to the Tooting Bec Lido for a refreshing swim. But there are no lockers! Since I've got Psion, bike gear etc. with me, I can't leave it unattended. They are unrepetant.
So zoom home, change, dispense with everthing nonessential or valuable, out with the recumbent, and pedal like buggery back to Tooting. Nearly got run over twice.
Get there. They're closing early for a swimming club. Too late. Aieee!
I explain my vexation and they let me in for free for a 10min dip. Wonderfully cool and refreshing. Whaty a great pool. I must go more than once a month. Anyone want to join me? 100m unheated outside pool and a swim's only £3.65.
As I sat getting my breath back afterwards, the café was playing some awful cheesy 80s music. I listened and realised how remarkably appropriate (oh no, not again) Wham's "Freedom" is to me now.
So it's today's mopey song lyric. Enjoy.

Every day I hear a different story,
People say that you're no good for me.
Saw your lover with another
And she's making a fool of you, oh.
If you loved me, baby, you'd deny it
But you laugh and tell me I should try it.
Tell me I'm a baby and I don't understand.
But you know that I'll forgive you
Just this once, twice, forever
'Cos baby, you could drag me to hell and back
Just as long as we're together - and you do.
I don't want your freedom, I don't want to play around.
I don't want nobody, baby, part time love just brings me down.
I don't need your freedom, girl, all I want right now is you.
Like a prisoner who has his own key
But I can't escape until you love me.
I just go from day to day knowing all about the other boys.
You take my hand and tell me I'm a fool to give you all that I do.
I bet you, someday, baby, someone says the same to you.
But you know that I'll forgive you just this once, twice, forever…
I don't want your freedom, I don't want to play around…
Can't you see I'm hurting, baby,
You're hurting me, baby, hurting me, baby.
You're hurting me, baby, hurting me, baby.
But you know that I'll forgive you just this once, twice, forever ...
