My doctor has forbidden me caffeine.
This is, strangely, much less hassle than I expected. I vaguely miss it, and I'm even slower getting into motion in the morning than before, which is really quite scary, but otherwise, nothing. No withdrawal, no perceptible benefit.
But I'm drinking more herbal tea.
Green tea is OK, but too bitter to drink much. Mint tea is pleasant but sickly. Fruit ones just taste like hot Ribena. Nettle tea is fascinatingly herbal-tasting - I swear it actually tastes green, and I'm no synæsthete.
But the best so far is mint and nettle. One teabag of each in a big mug. Lovely. Flavoursome yet not sickly and tastes like it should be good for you. Can you buy this stuff premixed? I urge you all to try it.
I'm interested in other recommendations, though. Does jasmine tea contain real tea, and therefore caffeine? Decaf seems like a waste of time to me - preferable to find naturally caffeineless alternatives.
*Thinks* Anyone know where I can buy coca teabags?
