P.S. This is quite the weirdest programming language tutorial I have ever read: why's (poignant) guide to ruby, by a very odd chap who rejoices in the sobriquet of _why the lucky stiff. It is well-documented that I do not care for Internet pseudonyms but the sheer weirdness of this guy has overwhelmed my irritation with bemusement.

Imagine my surprise...

Setting off for 55 Broadway soon, but while I ate my high-fibre no-added-sugar low-fat breakfast cereal with skimmed milk and fresh fruit, I was, as usual, skimming the IT news. Both Slashdot and OSNews are covering a story in LinuxFormat, comparing OpenSolaris to Linux.

What is surprising is that it's the first story I've seen by julietk. At uon's birthday drinkie, she told me that she had got a writing deal with an online mag and I went for a look to see if I could find any of her stuff that night, but it was a little too soon. But to get Slashdotted has got to be good. It's something I've never managed!
