P.S. This is quite the weirdest programming language tutorial I have ever read: why's (poignant) guide to ruby, by a very odd chap who rejoices in the sobriquet of _why the lucky stiff. It is well-documented that I do not care for Internet pseudonyms but the sheer weirdness of this guy has overwhelmed my irritation with bemusement.

Setting off for 55 Broadway soon, but while I ate my high-fibre no-added-sugar low-fat breakfast cereal with skimmed milk and fresh fruit, I was, as usual, skimming the IT news. Both Slashdot and OSNews are covering a story in LinuxFormat, comparing OpenSolaris to Linux.

What is surprising is that it's the first story I've seen by [livejournal.com profile] julietk. At [livejournal.com profile] uon's birthday drinkie, she told me that she had got a writing deal with an online mag and I went for a look to see if I could find any of her stuff that night, but it was a little too soon. But to get Slashdotted has got to be good. It's something I've never managed!
