Cheap notebook PC on offer
Sep. 1st, 2006 03:57 pmI should soon have another notebook PC up for sale. It's probably going to be an old Sony Vaio - Pentium III, about 20GB disk, probably around 384MB RAM, CD, 14" 1024x768 screen. Probably with an optional 2nd battery, but both are a bit knackered.
Only fault is that 1 of its 2 USB ports is physically knackered. It has 1 working one, though, so you can bung in a hub & use it.
Would anyone be interested?
User's choice of WinXP or Linux; choice of distros available but I recommend Ubuntu. I'll set it up with A/V, antispyware, firewall, office suite, extra apps, media players, content plugins and so on so that it's ready to go, either OS.
Provisional asking price ITRO £250 (Paypal preferred), but I'm prepared to negotiate...
