In haste!
Rotersand are very splendid. Unter Null were not as good as they think they are. Quote of the day: "You're a great crowd, but do you normally all just stand there like that?" No, dear, not when there's a better band on.
Omar Khan's curry is relatively upmarket for this neck of the woods, but very pleasant, whereas the Kashmir is a more basic place - e.g. you only get chapattis, no questions asked, but very pleasant for all that. I didn't realise jalfrezi was meant to involve egg, but it works.
The Film Museum has an exhibition of Ray Harrihausen's work, which is excellent. I still rate the swordfighting skeletons best myself, though. Had not realised what a versatile artist/director/writer Harryhausen was as well as a modelmaker and animator. His designs are often consciously taken from classic artistic references, such as Gustav Doré. Striking resemblances.
Today, Autoclav 1.1 was... impressive, if a bit too S-Express-y for me by the end. Stromkern were brilliant & I'm busy missing the start of Wai Pi Wai.
Missed from last time were
purplestuart,
_whitenoise,
miss_soap,
flavius_m and I am sure I'm missing out more now.
Off to go bounce now! Cheerio!
EDIT: LJ IDs corrected. Oops. Hey, I was a bit the worse for wear...
