the_major.) And if you read the accompanying column, why is it that Americans have to be so earnest about things? I'm just a godless heathen and am pretty relaxed about it. Mind you, I don't ever have people asking me to say grace before a meal, and living in a free secular country, I don't face prospective employers asking me what church I belong to, where "none" is not an acceptable answer...)
