Well kinda.

The CIX clapham_jct conference is running a competition for best Spring-in-London themed haiku. The prize is to be claimed at their meet on Friday. I believe I stand to win a pickled egg, with this:
Thrush coughs sooty phlegm
Emphysema and rose blight
Spring's come to the Smoke

In other news, I did not in fact go to Sweden, because I am a muppet and I missed my plane. It's been a good weekend nonetheless; The Ton, back at the 'Flo; Fri night drinks with infrequent visitors [livejournal.com profile] whotheheckami and [livejournal.com profile] doja35, amongst others; the Electric Ballroom for the last-but-2 proper Full Tilt¹ with [livejournal.com profile] nils; Saturday spent giving away unwanted stuff to [livejournal.com profile] d_floorlandmine and [livejournal.com profile] drpete and [livejournal.com profile] mmcpoland, then an evening of real ale with the latter pair; followed by the usual Sunday evening drinkies.

Really very pleasant, and even with losing my extortionate £1.04 return ticket² to Västerås, with all that beer, I've saved a small fortune.

¹ Not a goth club, honest, 'cos I've given up that sort of thing. It's a special instance of the class "rock club", really it is.

² OK. Plus tax. Still only £20 though.
