Right, off tomorrow to the Emerald Isle with the illustrious [livejournal.com profile] mr_flay and the marvellous and not-visibly-aged-at-all-honest [livejournal.com profile] childeric. Hurrah! I do like Ryanair. Yes, they're awkward, especially if you're late, but flights for 52p each way really cannot be argued with. Getting to and from the aiport costs more than an international flight. That's a keen price.

We should get in to Dublin airport about 4:30ish in the afternoon, so I'm planning on doing the same as last time: taking the bus in to O'Connell St. and finding the nearest available hostelry. Last time, I took a #747 and waited for [livejournal.com profile] lostcarpark in a very congenial quiet little bar just near the Spike and the bus stop. Snag is, I can't remember the name. It's a door or two away from the old cinema - the Savoy? - and the same side as the road leading down to Connolly Station. Google is no help. It does Beamish, though, a major plus point for my money. If anyone knows O'Connell Street's pubs well enough to remind me, please say so!

If anyone fancies coming to say hello after work, this might be a good time! We'll be there 5:30 - 6ish and will be there for an hour or two at the very least, I think.

After that there's a vague plan to go back to where we're staying, dump our stuff, then return to rendezvous and go find some food. After that, more drinking I expect, then it all becomes a bit nebulous. :¬)

Friday and Saturday hold culture in the daytime and some clubbing in the evenings, with any luck, so if anyone fancies joining us, the more the merrier!
