Skeptics in the Pub
Jan. 15th, 2004 04:29 pm... Is on again tonight.
Thursday 15th January 2004
Richard Sanderson
Richard Sanderson is a musician (electronics, voice and various squeezeboxes) whose work has been broadly classed as part of the "avant garde". He has recorded with the groups "Ticklish" and "Minnow", as a duo with Steve Beresford, and solo. He has performed throughout Europe at festivals of experimental music. For 8 years he promoted experimental music in various small clubs around the capital with such names as "The Club Room", "Reaction Time" and "Western Civilisation". Since 1996 he has been a director of the London Musicians' Collective.
He is the presenter of "Baggage Reclaim" a programme of cultural chat on the London based Art Radio station Resonance 104.4fm, (www.resonancefm.com) - a programme which has taken a forthright pro-science/anti-hokum stance, with features such as "Little Atoms" and "Skeptic's Corner".

Skepticism and the Counter Culture
The counter-culture has long been a haven for the little-heard, the under-publicised, the outsider and the rebel. In this context, isn't it about time the counter-culture embraced skepticism and reason?
Starts at 7.30pm at The Old Kings Head, London Bridge. Entry is by a £2 donation to cover the guest speaker's travelling expenses and sundries. Sandwiches and chips are provided at about 7.00pm on a strictly first-come, first-served basis. Non-skeptics are welcome. Turn up at any time during the evening.
