The joy of technology
Oct. 9th, 2003 02:40 amGiven that other plans went awry at the last minute, I meant to spend the evening trying to recover anything from
zoo_music_girl's hard disk. But I actually spent almost all of it on the phone to Sheffield. Ooops. Good things, phones, though.
In other news, though, I managed to get the digital TV receiver working. Multiple channels! Excitement!
It's weird the way the compressed video breaks up spectacularly when the signal quality drops. There's some serious processing going on in there. Sadly, I only have a little indoor ærial. I think I'm going to need something better now.
Most of them aren't showing anything terribly interesting but I seem to have found 2 channels of continuous pop videos, which is fine with me. About the only things I knew were the Chili Pepper's Under The Bridge and Natalie Imbruglia's Torn (which was quite dull and involved nothing at all of her "lying cold and naked on the floor", to my disappointment, though not surprise). And having now seen the video for Pink's Trouble I remain convinced that she still really does suck.
Could this spell the end of my TV-free existence?
