Skeptics in the Pub
Aug. 19th, 2003 02:31 pmIn other news, Thursday is Skeptics in the Pub. From the email invitation:
'This month's guest is an interesting fellow: a Creationist who thinks Dawkins is right! Brian Austin is a Creationist, and he is, in his own words, "entering the lion's den".
'In the Biblical story of Daniel in the Lion's den, Daniel escaped unscathed with God's help... I wonder what the (intellectual) outcome will be of Brian in the Skeptic's den?
'The buffet went down very well last month, so don't eat beforehand, there should be plenty of food!
'Our meeting is held at The Old King's Head pub, just outside the Borough High Street exit of London Bridge Tube station. The meeting starts at 7:30, and is on this Thursday, 21st August.'
Anyone of an active and enquiring mind should come along - it's both a good laugh and thought-provoking and mind-stretching too. Recommended.
And not just for its homeopaths.
