Feb. 8th, 2002 04:53 pmAt work. Currently fighting with MS Exchange and a dreadful pharmaceutical database called Oxygen.
I evaluated Exchange when it was first launched in 1995; MS paid for me to go on a course on the hot new product.
I thought it was awful cr*p of the worst kind, and told them so.
Since then, many BOFHish friends have told me that it's improved beyond all recognition and is now quite good, honest.
Well, I'm looking at 5.5SP2 and I have news for you, David, Jon, Alan, Louis /et al./
It isn't. It's still rubbish; it's just a more complicated piece of sh*t than it used to be, with vastly more varied, complex and interesting failure modes.
I'll wrestle the bugger into obedience all the same.
