Sep. 30th, 2005 12:51 pmCouple of entertaining new webcomics I've discovered recently, thanks to links from Something Positive. (Well, new to me, anyway.)
Penny & Aggie is pretty lightweight but has some shrewd observation and I like the art style very much. More polished and professional-looking than a lot of webcomics. Found from a banner ad on SP; I believe RM has done some guest art. NB: currently there's a guest artist & she's quite unlike the normal one! Flip back a bit.
Wapsi Square is dead cool. A little limited by its 3-panel format but compelling reading. Great, very individual art & involving characters. I ended up reading from day 1 - and that's not happened in a long time. Bonus points for spotting the obscure link to Neal Stephenson!
There's also the very weird Perry Bible Fellowship, which has nothing to do with its name. Note that the archive area seems to be optimised for keyboard navigation - try it.
The latter 2 from this interview with SP's R.K. Milholland. Worth reading & more good links in there.
