Eco-Sphere

lprovenIt occurred to me that these guys are worth plugging.
I mentioned my Ecosphere in a comment to my LJ the other day:
On the poetry bookshelf on my stairs, I have a small Ecosphere. It used to contain two tiny shrimps and some snails. One shrimp still lives. This is *bloody* impressive given that [info]tamaranth gave it to me in about 1996. He's a venerable shrimp indeed.
Go there and have a look. They're dead cool. BTW, don't click the British flag, as for some reason, that takes you to the German site.
Carl Sagan got one of the first, and loved it; he wrote a piece about them that the company uses. They're remarkable things. I believe Hamley's sell them over here.
