Left upper third molar successfully removed at about 6.45pm yesterday. I was only under for about an hour and by 10pm I felt well enough to go home again. It hurt like buggery that night, but I was able to eat a bowl of soup, but today, it's fine. As was, I suppose, to be expected, all a bit of an anticlimax, really. I have some stitches in my gum & it feels like a small piece of jawbone was removed to get to the root but it's gone at last and I am much relieved.

I am now recuperating in Brighton, as [livejournal.com profile] sinnymaker has filled my house to bursting with teenaged Dark Ages of Camelot fanboys.

Next on the list, then, will be getting a specialist to investigate my suspected bronchiectasis, and then possibly a nose job to get my squished hooter straightened and both nostrils working. I had this done at about age 13 but I got beaten up outside a pub a while later and the reconstructed nose got broken. I have had almost no sense of smell from ages 0 to 13 and from 20 to date. It would be pleasant to have it back.

I'm also continuing to lose weight. I'm fluctuating around the 14.5st mark now (~92kg) . A month or so back I went out for a drink with [livejournal.com profile] mr_flay and was dead chuffed that I could wear a pair of 6-7yr old Calvin Klein 36in waist jeans. Yesterday, I was even more delighted to discover that I can just fit into a pair of 10yr old 34in waist ones. I'm nearly back down to the happy condition of having a waist measurement smaller than my inside leg. Yay!

Spring is here! Spring is here! Life is skittles and life is beer! And it's a distinct improvement, so far...
